D seems like a guy who wants to get things done, which Hoju appreciates. He's also a man who doesn't mince words - which Hoju also appreciates (he's not super talkative himself). I would love more CR for these two :>

Hoju and Thancred have been through so much together, and while Hoju wishes none of his friends had to be here, he's still glad Thancred is present for Ryne and, selfishly, he's privately a little, guiltily glad for himself too. (He missed his friend okok)

Lightninnnng! He appreciates the fact that she's very no-nonsense, though if she'd stop flinging herself into danger that'd be great (he does it to, don't listen to him.) but he worries about her. He definitely wants to get to know her better. I see lots of good things for their CR in the future!! pet play date and comparing notes!

RYNE!! ♥ She's like the niece he never had. He respects her a lot for her courage both at home and here, and really just wants to make her smile more. She's had a lot on her shoulders since... forever lol. He wishes she didn't have to be here, much like Thancred, but he's glad she and Thancred at least have each other.

Fellow fetch quester and slayer of... so many things. MMO Protag fist bump. Hoju would definitely like to hang out with Syrlya more. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders and they probably think similarly about a number of things.

But no Hoju (obviously) never thought he'd get this chance and he's half torn between "make the best of it and treasure it" and "WHATS GONNA HAPPEN AFTER"/already grieving all over again. He absolutely wants to be around him more even though every time is like a constant kick in the feels(and he wants to protect him this time...)
