Ok so... Dante is a mystery and a half. Lalli doesn't like him much so far and mostly finds him baffling--he's the kind of loud, bombastic personality that doesn't survive very long in his experience unless apparently you are from Norway--but at the same time Dante has surprised him in all his interactions by, you know, actually backing up his bizarre personality with action. And ultimately what Lalli values the most is competence.
Which isn't to say that Dante is competent, really, but he is at least... capable? Lalli is at least convinced he won't go out and get himself killed at the first opportunity, which is the exact opposite of his first impression. So that's deserving of a very baby modicum of respect.
That said, his personality is obnoxious enough that Lalli won't exactly be happy to run into him, because it probably means a headache. Welcome to the Reynir Tier(TM) of his esteem.

god but okay, maybe being on the tier where he causes headaches is the best tier to be at ?? man, what a champion spot

So the thing is, Lalli knows that he's pretty weird? Or at least that other people find him pretty weird, and don't have a lot of patience for his less than typical behavior. So whenever he's caught doing something outside the norm he gets defensive and he's used to people responding in kind.
Constantin doesn't do that! So it catches him off guard. He's not used to people just letting him do whatever he feels like and meeting him there without any judgment. The only person who's done that before is probably Emil, and I think that's a big part of the reason why Lalli is so receptive to him and why Emil is his first friend ever, so if Constantin keeps it up Lalli will definitely end up latching onto him like a duckling even if he pretends like he's totally not. So... congrats on your new stray cat I guess??

All right so unfortunately for Felix, unlike a bunch of other people on this meme Lalli thinks he's got Felix totally figured out. Sadly, he has not established himself as anything approaching competent yet, so he's filed in Lalli's mind as "asshole liability." And yet he has the aUdAcItY to act like he can tell Lalli what to do!! Wow!!!! Go away!!!!!!!!
If and when Felix can do something Cool(tm) that will Impress Him, he'll be grudgingly bumped up to Reynir Tier: annoying and occasionally useful, but preferable to avoid. Until then, he is just Kitty Tier.

For real, he feels pretty lost a lot of the time in Fellden, so having someone he can rely on to provide unconditional support is huge. It's a different kind than he's used to from, say, Onni, so he's not entirely sure how to react to it, but just having it takes a lot of stress off of him that he's not even aware of.
Basically, Mercie's mom friend magic wins again?? If they're ever in the same area he definitely goes out of his way to show his appreciation in a weird off-hand Lalli way, like just handing her a bunch of meat or pelts he's collected. You can use these right. He's helping

He's still gonna be wary though until he knows what D's deal is. While he craves people being nice to him he's also very suspicious of it. But if D keeps being understanding and patient prospects are good!!

As a result, he's started to think of her as a kind of... not quite a mentor figure, because they haven't established that kind of relationship, but someone who could be one if he ever needed it. He already values her input more highly than most, essentially, and would probably go to her first if he had General World Questions. Which is maybe not a responsibility Neria wants or even knows she has but hey, she has it anyway, surprise!!

Then there's the Flying Squirrel Man thing. That was a really, really weird and kind of alarming incident, and at this point Lalli is pretty convinced he's Bruce and is just playing along with Bruce insisting on playing dumb about it. But it adds quite a wrinkle in Lalli's esteem of Bruce, because he actually has (what seems to be) a very irrational, violent side to him, and it's making Lalli question whether he should be listening to him after all? Which also makes him question whether his own concerns are right, and Lalli doesn't do very well with uncertainty so now Bruce just kind of makes him confused and upset. He wants to like and trust him, though, because he likes having solid authority figures to tell him what to do so he doesn't get confused wondering about it himself. You can repair this, Bruce!!!
