Constantin’s first impression was a good one! He appeared good-humored and with a clever wit, and their first meeting was when they were helping put decorations up for the winter festival — bonus points for wanting to help other people, despite being new!

He appreciated his aid during the ball, as well; not dwelling on his terrible fail with the champagne tower, letting him borrow his handkerchief (again, helpful points, the sign of a man with a good heart, likely!) and then humoring him by finding a mop to clean up the mess. Dimitri is well-aware of his tendency to seem… overly serious to some, thinking he might have given that impression with Constantin somewhere in their conversations, and he does believe it throws into contrast the other man’s sometimes-flippant mannerisms? Or that’s how he interprets it, at least. Like….help him with he mop issue, Constantin…….it’s fine, just talk to them….

Regardless, he thinks he’s charming and good company, and looks forward to helping him train in the future! He’s sure that’ll put some steely resolve in him. 8)
