STOP TRYING TO STOMP HIM Syr's a unique case where Crowley is actually incredibly wary of him, especially right out of the gate. Their first encounter was rough, pretty literally, and Syrlya's right now the only person in Fellden besides Aziraphale that's seen Crowley as Ashtoreth. This makes him somewhat of a threat, because he wants to keep that form a secret as much as possible in case he needs to use it to get himself out of trouble or if he needs to be sneaky.

Having someone that's already met her? In less-than-ideal conditions? That's dangerous.

The funniest part? If I'm remembering right, Syr has no idea that they're the same person. So Crowley's just being extra safe and testy and nervous for no real explainable reason, because he's not going to admit 'hey you're the guy that tried to squish me!!!!'
