I'm sorry. I think we both were talking from the heart... where I come from, the monsters that we have to deal with. There's no coming back from it, no matter how hard we try. I didn't mean to sound so fatalistic. I don't know much of anything about this world or how it operates, so assuming that what I know to be true is bad logic.

If we can find out why it's attacking the villagers, maybe we can convince it to stop or to leave. But in any case, if it comes down to it, we should be prepared for the worst. Maybe we can lure it somewhere farther away from town.
