[While Lapis is... Fairly confident that getting into a fight with a monster that likes to kill people, presumably using water, won't be too much of an issue, the problem is that she doesn't really want to go alone. The second problem that crops up is that she has... No friends here. No one she knows. No one who even looks like another Gem, and so the problem is, how exactly does she get some help with this? To not go overboard and ruin things she probably shouldn't?
What Would Steven Do?
... Make a new friend, obviously. Even though the thought fills her with some sort of anxiety, and it shows, the moment she stiffly walks up to someone and juts out a blue hand for a shake like she's seen others do. And maybe she's speaking a bit too fast as well.]
A strange cat told me that I had to help fight a monster, you in?
[Perfect. Absolutely nailed it. Just like in her JRPGs.]
BEYOND THE CITIES; GODSWOOD
[It's a little uncomfortable here, surrounded by so many trees. By people leaving offerings for... Something, she supposes. Death? Gems like her don't exactly have much of a concept of death to begin with. But it feels harmless enough she supposes, when a stranger presses a coin into her palm and tells her to leave an offering too.
A happy memory or a wish, and the coin. It's something she has to think about, consider really hard. A wish at this point feels silly, but she can think of a few happy memories to share. Does she have to speak it aloud? Well, might as well, as she drops the coin into the bowl.]
I guess one of my happy memories would be when Steven made Pumpkin for me and Peridot.
